It is treason then! The Black Sun’s sneaky manipulation of both the Empire and the Rebel Alliance has been known for a while. After careful planning, now is the time to launch an all-out attack on the spider in the middle of the galaxy-spanning criminal web: prince Xizor. Both Imperials and Rebels set out to destroy the prince’s palace on the surface of Coruscant and his Skyhook floating high above it, killing the Falleen and saving princess Leia in the process. It will be a chaotic but tactical battle unfolding in palace corridors, hidden sewers and the fringe of space.
That’s the story of the fifteenth episode of Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka, the building rpg we have going on in the Star Wars forum here. Players can submit builds with an accompanying story depicting them fulfilling their goals to destroy the Black Sun once and for all. Only this time, Rebels and Imperials won’t be fighting each other as much as they will be fighting their common enemy. And that common enemy will be played by, well… you! If you’ve been looking at SoNE from a distance and want to try out first before you want to commit, this is the perfect opportunity to do a one time build showing off your building skills in portraying a frenzy of a fight as a member of the criminal Black Sun organization. This is your chance to try out something new, to meet some new people and to enjoy the fun and constructive SoNE environment we’ve got going on. We don’t require any particular level of skill but just a healthy dose of enthusiasm. If you feel this might be something for you, visit the episode topic for more information and for a place to ask any question you’d like. And if you feel ready for a more permanent participation in the SoNE adventure, head over here. See you on the other side, in a different galaxy!
The eleventh episode of our role playing building experience the Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka has just begun. The Rebels take the super computer, captured from the Empire, to the surface of the planet of Kuat, known for its shipyards on its ring. The surface, however, is rural, and the Rebels hide there from the Empire while they try to get to the valuable information inside of the computer. The Empire won’t let that happen, however, and has deployed its forces on the planet and its rings in order to try to recapture the computer. You have until April 30th to build a diorama, ship… portraying your character partaking in this game of hide and seek of high stakes. RoyalBrickCustoms has once again offered to provide the winner with a special minifig cloth accessory, so there’s no time to waste! Everyone can participate, whether you have a large collection or not, build your creations digitally or not or have been a member for years or not. If you’re not a member of SoNE yet, you can always join by going to this topic and picking a side. From then on, it’s building along with talented builders, getting valuable feedback from the community, telling stories together and having lots of fun! Enjoy yourself!
In their struggle for “friendship” with the Black Sun Crime Syndicate, both Imperial and Rebel agents were deceived, merely pawns in a predetermined game. However, it seems the Black Sun had the right faction in mind when they determined to collaborate with the Imperials. In the Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka‘s ninth episode, they proved they can beat the Rebels even if they’re outnumbered. The seven builders for the Empire attained a higher score on average than the eight opponents, winning their third episode in a row. The victory wasn’t complete, however, with WickNole excelling with his “Gathering Intel” pictured above, getting the highest score of all participants. His entry is impressive and detailed in both build, story and presentation making it a perfectly balanced and memorable entry. goatman461’s “Hollow Men” pictured below stupefies with its incredible ships, unprecedented editing and dark story, all of that in cooperation with other builders. He ended in second place, first among the Imperials. Both he and WickNole can expect some exclusive, custom designed minifig gear generously sponsored by RoyalBrickCustoms. The Empire now has its fourth victory in hand, and is seriously closing in on the five Rebel victories. And until now, every episode has seen a different builder winning. You see you can really make a huge difference in the galaxy. So pick a faction, introduce yourself and help either side out, because their next mission is coming soon, and it might be the most important one yet…
You’ve waited long enough, but finally it’s here: the next episode of the Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka! In this ninth episode, it proves nearly impossible to bring the Black Sun crime syndicate down, and the factions decide to try for an alliance instead. This means their agents have to fully cooperate with the organization in order to get more information and to earn some favors. But is the smuggling, spying and downright killing worth it?
So if you like building something different in the Star Wars universe, if you like telling stories or if you crave for a warm community, join right in! As an extra motivation, in this episode we have some prizes to give away. RoyalBrickCustoms has kindly offered to design and provide some unique SoNE-themed cloth minifig accessories! More details on that later. The episode is open until September 19th, and new players can join at any time. For more information about the episode, go to this topic. And if you’d like to know more about our building role playing game and would like to register, here‘s the recruitment office.
With the result of the seventh episode of the Eurobricks Star Wars Forum’s Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka building role playing game in, the Empire celebrates its victory over the Rebel Alliance for the second time. The object of this episode, titled “Heirloom“, was to build a 16×16 scene showing the character with a precious object, and another build showing this object’s history in the family. In his entry, goatman461 bravely wields his hammer, once belonging to his murdered father. His impressive builds got him a score of a whopping 24 out of 25, making him the well deserved winner of the episode. But the other ten contestants of the Empire didn’t do bad at all, with another three 23’s, compared to the smaller Rebel cell with only five contestants but with two 23’s nonetheless. The next episode will come soon, so now is the time to sign up and make the faction of your choice proud! Or get inspired by all previous builds first…
The details of Episode VI have just been announced, and it’s been hosted by a new recruit to the SoNE team, MKJoshA. Apparently, in all of the confusion which followed the encounter with his son in Cloud City, Darth Vader forgot to send Boba Fett a ‘thank you’ card for locating Han Solo. So, in this Episode he’s ordered most of the Imperial forces to search for him, along his pre-determined flight plan. The Rebels have also managed to decrypt data containing his flight plan, and decide to join in the search for the notorious bounty hunter. The contest allows multiple entries, depending on your XP, but all builds are limited to 16 x 16 studs. New recruits to SoNE are always welcome, and the Rebels desperately need re-enforcements after their crushing defeat in Episode V, so choose a side and get building!
Mos Eisley is known for its smooth, simple shapes accented by greebles and for being a “wretched hive of scum and villainy.” MstrOfPppts’ latest SoNE build captures that feel perfectly. I like how he used SNOT to create a completely studless design. The details on the bar and the inclusion of many colorful characters create a nice contrast to the simplistic environment. That’s just how I always imagine the Mos Eisley Cantina!
The nightsister trained Ninja Nin sets out to locate and destroy the Imperial device that is jamming the communication system of the rebel recruitment center in the swamps of Nar Eurbrikka. The jamming device is guarded by stormtroopers, but luckily Nin is accompanied by three fellow rebels! Will they succeed? Click here to find out!
Ninja Nin used some clever techniques here. The different shades of green and brown give it a nice swampy, decaying look and the liquid pouring out of the pipe looks very slimy and hazardous. That along with the inclusion of other players makes it a great little build.
The battle begins, well continues!!
Brickdoctor has just published the details of Episode I of the new Star Wars RPG, and you’ll be relieved to hear that it doesn’t involve Jar Jar Binks! The first contest is set in my favourite Star Wars environment, the beautiful Cloud City, which just happens to be my home.
The main aim of the Imperial forces will be to prevent the citizens of Cloud City from escaping, particularly the small band of rebels led by Lando Calrissian, although no excessive disintegrations are permitted. Conversely, the primary objective of the Rebel Alliance will be to help evacuate the occupants of the city, including civilians, workers and the small band of rebels.
So if you want to join in, head over to the Star Wars forum and get building!
Thanks to my fellow Rebel Blogger Masked Builder for hosting the Clone Wars Community Build, which has just concluded, and congratulations to all the builders who built for this event. Be sure to check out all the entries
