What did you think of the Plot?
BEAVeR: What a promising begin to the two parter! An intense action sequence showcasing the dire times for the Rebellion and then that epic confrontation between Saw Gerrera and Mon Mothma. Seldom has Rebels given us this kind of spectacle! I love how both the advantages and disadvantages of each side became visible to keep it nuanced and get your own gears going. Continue reading

Rebels Review: Zero Hour
What did you think of the Plot?
BEAVeR: A part of this season finale actually improved upon The Empire Strikes Back, wow! In episode V, the Rebellion starts out already in a bad situation, just trying to hide and survive, only for the Empire to make the situation even worse with their invasion. In this episode it’s even more tragic: the Rebels actually start out on their all time high, with everything coming together for a first strike on Lothal, a whole new fleet of ships included. Hope abounds everywhere and we see how it gives our heroes energy. But then, by a flick of Thrawn’s fingers, hell brakes loose for the Rebels, all hopes and plans are abandoned and all they can do is try to survive and escape. Continue reading

Rebels Review: Double Agent Droid
What did you think of the Plot?
Oky: This episode had an interesting premise. The idea of the Empire hijacking one of the rebels’ droids in order to gather intel about them is pretty cool, and I like that they finally wised up to the rebels’ old trick of disguising Chopper as an Imperial droid. Continue reading
Rebels Review: Secret Cargo
What did you think of the Plot?
BEAVeR: This was one of those episodes that fall into the “nice idea, but lacking execution” category. At least where it concerns the bulk of the plot, since some moments were really great and the action was great to watch throughout the episode. Continue reading
UCS Snowspeeder Revealed
The Lego Group has officially released details about the highly anticipated UCS set 75144 Snowspeeder that will be released for May the 4th. The set contains 1,703 pieces and will retail at $199.99. It is a complete redesign from the first UCS version of this iconic vehicle, 10129 Rebel Snowspeeder, and costs about $70 more at only 246 more parts. The new version includes 2 minifigures: a Rebel Snowspeeder Pilot and a Rebel Snowspeeder Gunner, and it has some new features such as air brakes that can be opened by turning the back of the turbolasers. It also features a lot more details than the original, but most of them are achieved with the use of an enormous sticker sheet which might be off-putting to some builders. Do you think it’s on improvement or a step back? Check out the Designer video below, then head over to the discussion thread to see the press release and let us know your thoughts!
Rebels Review: Through Imperial Eyes
What did you think of the Plot?
BEAVeR: When watching this episode, it only takes a second or so to realize this episode is different from all of the others. It’s the very first episode that belongs more in the series of Star Wars Imperials rather than Star Wars Rebels. Continue reading
Rebels Review: Legacy of Mandalore
What did you think of the Plot?
Oky: After how powerful the previous episode ended, I was eager to see how this story continues and how Sabine’s family will actually react to her return. Unfortunately, as soon as we saw her mother I was able to predict where this episode was going to go. Continue reading
Trials of the Darksaber
What did you think of the Plot?
BEAVeR: Rebels is like a box of chocolates: you never know which one you’re gonna get. One week, you’re watching a pretty bad episode, the next week you’re recovering from one of the best ones you’ve seen. When starting to watch, I certainly didn’t expect this to be one of the few episodes I needed to see twice in order to fully absorb it. Continue reading
Rebels Review: Warhead
What did you think of the Plot?
BEAVeR: What do you call an episode that tries to be funny, serious, scary and smart at the same time? I’d call it a bit of a mess really. At times, I was really invested in the episode, and at other times I was bored by it. Continue reading
